In 1956 Edwin graduated from McKeesport High School, just outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Four years later he graduated from Hiram College in Ohio. Faced with a draft notice he chose the US Naval Reserve, and served as legal and deck officer on aircraft carrier, USS Kearsarge, and guided missile destroyer, USS Tattnall. After leaving the navy he chose to come to New York City and attened NYU for a Master’s in Fine Art. After managing a photo lab and studio, and photographing the works of many sculptors and painters, he began to spend more time on his own art. Recently he moved from New York City to live in Pioneer Valley where he continues his life as a sculptor and artist.
